What; Nationale Marketing Strijd 2012

The “Nationale Marketing Strijd” (NMS) is one of the main Dutch recruitment events for academic students who have affinity for marketing related topics. The event is especially focusing on students of Dutch universities, who are in the final phase of their studies. The unique selling point of the NMS is that students get in touch with several leading companies and get the opportunity to expand their network. Furthermore, next to the informal, professional part of this competition, there is also a spectacular final party.
So far the participating companies of the NMS 2012 are; Unilever, PostNL, AkzoNobel, Océ, Essent and Fairchild.
After a CV-selection, 165 students will participate at an in-house day of one of the sponsoring companies. These in-house days will be scheduled preliminary the event and function as qualifying rounds. During these qualifying rounds, as well as during the final days, the students will compete within teams. Within one team there will be students of the different universities. On Tuesday, the 28th of February 2012, the best teams will continue the competition at the luxurious hotel “Hampshire Plaza” located in Groningen. During different rounds, the teams will work on marketing cases and present these for a well-selected skilled jury. At the end of the finale days, one team will win the desirable title “Grootste Marketing Talent 2012”, which is connected to the monetary price of €2000,-.
