Every year Marketing Associatie Nederland organizes the Dutch Marketing Thesis Award (DMTA) in cooperation with VODW Marketing. Seven nominees from Amsterdam, Groningen, Maastricht, Nijmegen, Nyenrode, Rotterdam and Tilburg get the change present their thesis to a crowd of around 100 people in the form of an elevator pitch. After several critical notes and questions from the jury the winner is announced and gets to take a check home worth €2.500,-!

In addition, every year Asset | Marketing organizes the local version of the DMTA, namely: the Tilburg Marketing Thesis Award (TMTA). The TMTA is an event at Tilburg University in which students get a chance to learn more about the graduation process in the area of marketing. Furthermore, it will be announced who wrote the best marketing thesis in Tilburg of that year.

The TMTA 2012 will ideally start with a company presentation regarding the experiences of a company that supervised students that followed an internship there. An alternative to this program consists of a presentation concerning the practical aspects of following an internship, held by a recently graduated student. By this presentation students will gain additional insights how one can, in cooperation with a company, come to an interesting and viable research question. In addition, they will learn what companies want from students and which stumbling blocks can stand in their way.

After this presentation 4 candidates get the chance to present their thesis to the jury and convince them they wrote the best marketing thesis that year. Thesis theses have been chosen by Department of Marketing throughout the year. After their presentations the jury gets a chance to ask the students questions. A

fter the presentations the students will enjoy a workshop concerning how to write a thesis. During this workshop students will learn how to plan, gather information and how to structure their thesis.

Finally the winner of the Tilburg Marketing Thesis Award 2011 will be announced and the winner will go home with a check worth €250,-!
